The 2011 Virginia Business Opportunity Fair, billed the best business ticket in the region, is hosted by the Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council (VMSDC).
The two day program began with an early morning breakfast sign in at The Dominion Club and kicked off with a shot gun start for the annual Diversity Golf Tournament. The golf competition, a key matchmaking event, teams top corporations with complementary certified minority firms. The golf event features a PGA golf clinic taught by the Dominion Club’s golf pro.
All About Presentation’s role for VBOF, was to manage all facets of the multi-day event. From managing break-out sessions to round table discussions, we were also responsible for coordinating speakers such as:
Golf Tournament
- Virginia Secretary of Administration Lisa Hicks-Thomas and Roanoke City Manager Christopher P. Morrill, who discussed innovation in the Commonwealth.
- Ed “The Rainmaker” Robinson who led a corporate session on “From Fighting in the Storm to Dancing in the Rain.”
- Simon T. Bailey, voted the “Best Keynote Speaker” by readers of Meetings and Conventions magazine.
- Rob Holder, account executive at HP, who shared ways businesses can become more agile in today’s global economy.
All About Presentation also coordinated the evening kick-off reception (pictured below) featuring Grammy-nominated Plunky & Oneness.
